Read on to learn more about some of our evangelism projects: Baby Bear Ministry, Healing Meals, Magnet Ministry, and Web Ministry.

King of Kings' Baby Bear Ministry

Developed to congratulate King of Kings' families and acknowledge the birth of their new family member as well as to welcome a new member to our faith community.

When a new baby is delivered to one of our King of Kings families the family is contacted.  With their permission, a baby girl or boy bear yard stack is placed in the family's front yard for a week announcing the arrival of their baby. A rose is also placed on the altar at church the Sunday following the baby's birth.  After services this rose is then delivered to the family.  The family is also contacted to arrange a Healing Meal.

To learn more about this program, contact Dolores Daldegan at 561-3618.

King of Kings' Healing Meals Ministry

Developed to provide a hot dinner meal to our King of Kings families who may need some TLC.

If you enjoy cooking and giving some TLC this is a wonderful ministry for you to offer your services.  When a King of Kings' member is in need of some extra care and support, due to an illness, accident, birth of a new baby, death of family member or 'just because,' the Healing Meals ministry team is there for them.   They will cook and deliver a "healing" meal to that family in need.

For more information about volunteering, or if you know of a family who is need of a "healing meal," please contact Holly Walter at 647-9461.

King of Kings' Magnet Ministry

Developed to welcome and to thank all visitors for attending worship and to extend a personal invitation to attend worship again.

Our "Magnet Ministry" team makes a brief visit to guests who have attended our Sunday morning worship services.  The Team tries to make the visit on Sunday afternoon or by Tuesday or Wednesday of that week.  The Magnet Minister leaves a Thank You card with a brief personal message, a small bag of candy, and a "refrigerator" magnet  with the church's phone number and web address.  The Magnet Minister stays only briefly or leaves the thank you card, magnet and candy if no one is at home.

The magnets are copies of the small stained glass windows in our sanctuary.  The Confirmation youth and the Youth Group have volunteered to color these pictures and then have creatively mounted them on card stock to produce the magnets.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Barbara Ripperger at (719) 564-9129 or Betty Yergert at (719) 547-4744.

King of Kings' Web Ministry

Developed to spread the Good News of God's love and sacrifice for us and our salvation and to make the Pueblo Community aware of King of Kings Lutheran Church's ministry, the church website provides new residents of Pueblo with information about King of Kings.  It also provides information to our congregation about what is happening within our congregation.

In today's world of computers and cyberspace one of the first experiences people have with a church is over the Internet.  It can be the first place a new resident may look when searching for a church.  Our Website is evolving, and contains information about our church worship services, Sunday school, Youth and organizations.  It posts a calendar of events, prayer concerns, and offers a Scripture search.

For more information or to volunteer, contact  Terri Rowenhorst at 545-9542.
